Summer Program

Join us in this unique program in which we combine learning French and Spanish with all the fun and excitement of dancing, singing, doing puppet shows, and painting. French and Spanish songs, sports, creative dramatics, French and Spanish puppet shows, art, ballet and fairy tales are all used to stimulate the children's interest in a foreign language. They become knights and princesses and experience the magic of imaginative play as they learn a new language and develop their creativity. Our instructors are fluent in their native tongue and are excited to share their cultural knowledge and love for the their language with your child. Program meets five days a week but there is a three-day and a two-day option available. 6 year olds and up can come all day or just in the afternoon. Program participation is reserved in advance on a bi-weekly basis in order to better accommodate parents with their summer plans.

Location

The program is located in the historic Munroe Center for the Arts in Lexington. Ample parking and outside play area is available. The studio is bright, colorful and imaginatively designed, with life-size puppet theater, pre-gym equipment to provide for a rich and creative environment.

Program Structure

The goal of all activities is to reinforce learning French & Spanish. Only French or Spanish will be spoken to the children unless it is required that they understand the instructions that go with the games. Learning the vocabulary and enjoying the discovery which goes along with the theme of the session is the goal of the program.
